About the author

In a world of disruption, change and adversity Mike Lee helps individual contributors, leaders and organizations activate the purpose-driven, future-focused and heart-centered skills to meet the moment and prepare for what's next.

I have always been fascinated by the power of leadership and someone’s ability to influence others to do more, become more and achieve more. To have a vision that is greater than the current circumstances. And, to mobilize people to action to bring that to life. At age 23, I read a ton of books by John Wooden and Coach K because I knew I had to go beyond basketball in order to make the most impact with the 150 stakeholders in our organization. That led to studying John Maxwell, Jim Rohn and any other leadership content I could get my hands on.

Over the past 15 years I’ve spent thousands of hours with thousands of people from the Gen Z and millennial generations. What I’ve learned is they do not respond to the traditionally accepted leadership archetype – where we only focus on the external. They respond to the leader that shows up from the inside out. Because the leader of the future knows that it’s the internal game that drives external results.

If you want to be a transformational leader of the future, here are 10 must-have skills to maximize the potential in the people you lead and to be the creator of your organization’s future reality.
