When I first started a mindfulness practice I was without a doubt, a crisis meditator. Meaning I’d only sit down to meditate when I was really stressed out. Otherwise I just thought it was a waste of time.

But I soon realized that meditation doesn’t take time. It actually gives you time. Why? Because you are more focused and show up with presence throughout your day. The entire point of a meditation practice is not only to be present in meditation it’s to be present in life. But, in our stressful work lives external stimulus can throw off our internal state. Which is why it’s important to have tools to help bring you back to the present throughout the day. One of those is your breath. Your breath is your anchor to the present moment.

So in this video today I just want to share with you a quick exercise, called Take 10, to help you take your meditation practice off the mat and into your life.
