EPISODE #028

MOLLY FLETCHER

SECRETS OF A CHAMPION’S MINDSET

For decades business leaders have leveraged the sports world to adopt best practices in high-performance, leadership, and culture. The parallels between the two worlds are endless — from the adversity of a season to recruiting talent — so many of the principles crossover from the court to the boardroom.

On this week’s episode of the MindShift Lab, we get an inside look at the mindsets, strategies, and rituals of some of sports elite with keynote speaker, author and peak performance coach, Molly Fletcher

As president of client representation for sports and entertainment agency CSE, Molly spent two decades as one of the world’s only female sports agents. She was hailed as the “female Jerry Maguire” by CNN as she recruited and represented hundreds of sport’s biggest names, including Erin Andrews, Tom Izzo and Doc Rivers.

Molly has been featured in ESPN, Fast Company, Forbes and Sports Illustrated. She is also the author of four books: Fearless At Work; A Winner’s Guide to Negotiating; The Business of Being the Best; and The 5 Best Tools to Find Your Dream Career.

Molly currently serves on the board of directors for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and the national advisory board for the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). She also has a new TedX talk out, Secrets of A Champions Mindset, which we dive into on this episode.

We talk about why it’s crucial for high-performing leaders to manage their energy instead of their time, some exercises to uncover your purpose and why this is so important to peak performance, and keys to navigating change and adversity.
